Privacy Policy

PixieHaul is a pre-launch marketplace for collectors, operated from British Columbia, Canada. This page explains what information we collect through this website and the PixieHaul app listing, and how we use it. The short version: we collect your email only if you give it to us, we use it only to tell you about PixieHaul, and we never sell it.

What we collect

• Waitlist signups. If you join our waitlist, we collect the email address (and optionally the first name) you submit. That's it — no account is created and no other personal information is requested at this stage.
• Basic technical data. Like nearly every website, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically process standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse.

How we use it

Waitlist emails are used to notify you about PixieHaul's launch and pre-launch updates. Joining the waitlist is your consent to receive those emails, consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect promptly.

Who processes it

We use reputable service providers to operate this site: our web host (Netlify) stores form submissions, our DNS provider (Cloudflare) routes traffic, and we may use an email service provider or waitlist tool to send updates. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

What we don't do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not run third-party advertising or advertising trackers on this site.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message, or by contacting us. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy law.

Data retention

Waitlist information is kept until you unsubscribe, you ask us to delete it, or it is migrated into your PixieHaul account with your consent once the marketplace launches — whichever comes first.

Changes

When PixieHaul launches as a full marketplace, this policy will be replaced with a comprehensive one covering accounts, transactions, and payments. We'll post updates on this page with a new effective date.
